A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

新年、明けましておめでとう御座います。

この"明”と言う字を小学生の時よく間違えて”開”と書いた覚えがある。
”開く”のではなく、”明るくなる”。とても良い意味合いだと思う。
We say "Akemashite Omedetou" in Japanese. "Akemashite" means "brightened'.
I think it is very nice to mention the upcoming hope in the new year in our greeting.

２００９年、経済情勢は思わしくないかもしれない。でも、と言う事は、好きな事をする時間が増えるかもしれない。忙しすぎる時にはどうしても時間がなくて出来ない新たなビジネスの企画を、賛同者と一緒に前に進めて行ける年にしたいと思う。
The world's economy may get worse in this year; however, it may mean that I may have more free time to spend on activating my new business ideas that I have been thinking of.
I will make them happen with those who can share and understand the concepts together.

１９９１年。１９歳の誕生日を迎える6日前に成田を出てから１８年。
来年の２０１０年で１９年目。人生のちょうど半分をアメリカで過ごした事になる。
It's been 18 years since I left Tokyo 6 days before my 19th birthday.
It will be my 19th year living in the United States next year, and that will mean that I have spent half of my life in this country.

何はともあれ、好景気だろうが不景気だろうが、断わりもなく月日はあっという間に勝手に過ぎて行ってしまうので、 もたもたせずに、今年も楽しく色々と挑戦する年にしたい。
Anyway, regardless if we are in the recession or not, the time passes so quickly. I can not afford the time to sit still and waste. I will make this year an enjoyable and challenging one again.
