My second home 1 - 第２の故郷 1

まだ外が暗い木曜日の朝７時、眠い目をこすりながらＬＡの空港へ。

At 7:00 A.M. on Thursday, I arrived at LAX rubbing on my sleepy eyes. 

４時間程のフライトの後、着いた目的地の空港。

After 4 hours of flight, this is the airport at my final destination.

日本で過ごした１８年間の次に長い、１１年間住んだ街。

The city I lived for the 2nd longest time;11 years, in my life, following my 18 years of time in Japan. 

２０代の多感な時期を、四苦八苦しながら歩んでいた街。

The city I spent my 20th, the time I faced a lot of trials and tribulations in my life.

そして、今でもアメリカ内では一番好きな街。

And the city I still like the most in the United States.

Chicago!

１日目は１つ目のミーティングとディナー。
２日目は学生時代から友人のピーターと一緒に２つ目のミーティングに参加。
３日目の今日は、これからダウンタウンに行きピーター夫妻と飲んで語って食べて。
明日の午後の便でＬＡへ。

The first day, I had a meeting an dinner.
The second day, I participated a meeting with my long time friend Piotr. 
Today, I am heading for downtown and will drink, eat and talk with Piotr and his wife, Ewa.
Tomorrow afternoon, I am flying back to LA.
